The survey of office workers, conducted by a local job bank 360d, found that 66 percent of them think the weight issue plays a role in their interpersonal relationships on the job.
Some 56 percent said people at the workplace pay particular attention to the weight and figures of other colleagues, according to the survey.
In addition, over 70 percent of the office workers said they had tried but failed to lose weight because they ate out too often, lacked exercise and tended to eat when they were stressed about work issues.
Some 90 percent of the respondents said they were not satisfied with their weight, even the 34 percent who said their weight was within normal standards.
