September 3, 2012, 12:24 am TWN Yiin said Yu Ai-tai of the Chinese-language Apple Daily claimed in the newspaper's column that he did not fulfill his duties when chairing the meeting but had instead left the meeting room to attend a KMT gathering at a separate location to elect new members of the KMT's Central Standing Committee. The columnist said Yiin was at the meeting for just two minutes before leaving. Yiin clarified that it was Premier Sean Chen who personally chaired the conference and that he himself did not leave the meeting. The columnist should make an apology because what he said was not true, Yiin said, adding that the untrue statements have harmed his reputation. |
