NBA legends touch down for game with local stars

TAIPEI--Former NBA greats including Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman arrived yesterday in Taiwan to play against a Taiwanese all-star team in an exhibition game scheduled to take place in Kaohsiung later in the week.

The lineup of some of the NBA's top players of the past two decades, which also includes Mitch Richmond and Horace Grant, will play July 21 at the Kaohsiung Arena in the 2012 Senao International All Star-Alumni Asia Tour Kaohsiung.

Asked about the latest buzz around Taiwanese American point guard Jeremy Lin, who has just been signed to the Houston Rockets, Pippen said that the former New York Knick plays well, but that each NBA club has its own considerations when it comes to signing players.

Rodman was also asked the same questions, but he did not respond, instead hamming it up by grabbing a reporter's microphone and pretending to interview other passengers.
