US State Dept. coordinator to touch down July 17-20The China Post news staff The China Post news staff--Dawn L. McCall, coordinator for the U.S. State Department's Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP), is scheduled to visit Taiwan July 17-20, said the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) in a press release.
July 16, 2012, 12:09 am TWN Dawn L. McCall became IIP Coordinator in July 2010. She is responsible for directing the bureau as it advances U.S. foreign policy goals and national interests by creating and delivering communication programs that inform and engage international audiences, the AIT said. From 1999 to 2007, McCall was president of Discovery Networks International, a division of Discovery Communications, a global media company best known for its flagship Discovery Channel. During her tenure as president, McCall managed a staff of 1,000 professionals worldwide and oversaw all aspects of the business including new business development, strategic planning, sales and marketing, program production and operations, according to the AIT.
