More visa waivers open magic sights to travelers

TAIPEI -- Taiwanese nationals now have easier access to 126 countries or territories around the world, including several of the “places of a lifetime” chosen by National Geographic Traveler magazine.

The number of countries that offer Taiwan visa free entry or landing visas has jumped in the past few years, the result of efforts by Taiwan's government to secure such favorable treatment to celebrate the Republic of China's centennial in 2011.

Well done Taiwan, just a shame in most of those countries if you get into trouble they'll refer you back to a Chinese embassy.
