Chilly weather likely to last until weekend: CWBAlthough the mercury has hit highs approaching 30 degrees Celsius in some areas in recent days, the bureau cautioned that the unseasonably warm temperatures would soon give way to cold and humid weather. According to the bureau, daytime temperatures are expected to drop by 4-6 degrees across the island today during the day and then plunge to around 12 degrees in northern Taiwan at night following the arrival of the cold front. The cold spell is likely to last until Saturday, the bureau said, when the lows could hover around 10 degrees in the north, but indicated that its effects will still be felt into Sunday. Increasing seasonal winds are also expected to bring sporadic rain to northeastern Taiwan in the coming days, the bureau added. | |||||||||||||
