FM travels to Nicaragua for visit with presidentYang arrived at the Managua International Airport to a warm welcome from his Nicaraguan counterpart Valdrak Jaentschke on the third leg of a visit to Central American allies. Yang is scheduled to congratulate Ortega on his Nov. 6 re-election on behalf of President Ma Ying-jeou on Wednesday. During his stay, the minister will also meet with Taiwanese volunteers and those doing alternative military service in Nicaragua. A free trade agreement was signed in 2008, and bilateral trade between the two countries in 2010 reached US$68 million, said an official at Taiwan's embassy in Nicaragua. | |||||||||||||
