The most popular was the Chinese Pavilion site, followed by those for Japan and Germany. Since the exposition opened on May 1, the ranking of the Taiwan Pavilion site has hovered between seventh and 10th. Thanks to its “super hot online reservation” service, the ranking jumped into the top five, pavilion staff said. Starting last week, the Taiwan Pavilion issues 200 “reservation tickets” online every day, in addition to 4,000 tickets distributed outside the pavilion. The online service turned out to be so popular that the 200 tickets are always booked “within 20 seconds” after the system is activated at 10 a.m., staff said. Holders of tickets reserved online are allowed to enter the pavilion from the VIP entrance. The pavilion said Monday that it expects the number of total visitors during the expo to break 500,000 on Sept. 8. Subscribe to The China Post and save 25%. Click here |
