Updated Friday, July 30, 2010 9:33 am TWN, The China Post news staff 9,000 high speed rail passengers affected by switch glitch delayExecutives at Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. said a split switch that separates different trains near Taipei City was turned off after it sent out irregular signals at 4:32 p.m. The transport service for the section between Taipei and Banqiao City was closed for 68 minutes before the switch came back normal. The company made emergency arrangement for passengers to take mass rapid transit (MRT) trains from Taipei to take the high-speed trains at Banqiao Station in Taipei County.
