Northeast monsoon brings rain to the north

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Central Whether Bureau (CWB) forecasted yesterday that the northeast monsoon will bring showers to the north and the northeast region from now through Wednesday, with clear to cloudy sky expected over the rest of the island.

Residents in the north and east are suggested to prepare for the wet weather till Wednesday.

The temperature will remain much the same at around 20 degree Celsius in the north, 22 degree Celsius in Central Taiwan and 24 degree Celsius in the south.

CWB also expects rains through out eastern Taiwan for the whole week.

In the south, residents will have to brace for the sharp differences in temperature between day and night, the CWB said.
