Lower temperatures and rain for northern Taiwan: CWB

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Expect thunder showers and a drop of about two degrees in the north and northeast today and tomorrow as the pressure system affecting northern Taiwan moves southward, said the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).

Northern Taiwan became cloudy yesterday, but temperatures remained around 34-35 degrees Celsius in the daytime as most of the moisture precipitated off the northern coast, continued CWB.

The pressure system, however, will not have much effect on central and southern Taiwan. Forecast for today and tomorrow is still high temperatures with thunder showers in the afternoon, added CWB.
