Tsai claims Ma conducting 'blue terror'

The DPP chief said the mayor was “misleading” the public, as an application for the road rights is different from an application for a demonstration permit.

Obtaining the rights to use a road does not guarantee a demonstration permit, she pointed out.

“The Taipei City government is trying to use procedural issues to undermine the legitimacy of the demonstration,” said Tsai.

Tsai said the Monday sit-down protest in front of the presidential building is unlikely to create too much impact on the traffic or schooling in the area. She also said the DPP has also laid down guidelines to prevent violence occurring during the demonstration. She said demonstrators must remain calm in the face of provocations.

She also urged police to maintain order, offering assistance rather than creating confrontation.

The DPP estimates that the demonstration will see half a million participants. DPP officials said about 17,000 supporters will head north from southern regions to take part in the protest.

The supporters will be arriving in Taipei by train or by bus, they said.

The Taipei Prosecutors Office has formed a task force of 14 prosecutors to ensure the massive protest will proceed peacefully.

The team will be stationed at the office from 2 p.m. Sunday when the parade in major streets in Taipei gets underway, a spokesman for the prosecutors office said.

The National Police Agency (NPA) has said it will deploy 4,000 officers to maintain law and order during the march.

As other pro-independence activists are also scheduled to take to the streets in Kaohsiung today, the NPA said it will mobilize 1,900 policemen to help with maintaining law and order in the southern port city.

It shows again that the DPP is an insane lawless party full of demagogues. Little has changed. If Taiwan is to rely on the incompetence of the DPP, it is doomed for sure.

Tsai and the DPP are the most hypocritical, uncivilized, backward-thinking group of people! DPP never self reflect. Everything Tsai is accusing the KMT of doing, they have done, and then some. DPP incite the people of Taiwan to start violent acts. DPP use exaggerated examples of the history of China or KMT to try to instill fear.

Chen and other DPP members are targeted or in jail because there are stacks of evidence showing that they have committed criminal acts. The government captures criminals and puts them in jail...wow, what a novel thought! Tsai thinks there is something wrong with that?!? While Chen was president, the corruption within the DPP spread faster than the SARS virus. The current government probably doesn't even have enough manpower to get past the tip of the iceberg on all the despicable things that the DPP has done.

Tsai and the DPP are the last people to even mention the supposed lack of sincerity in others. When will DPP supporters wake up and realize that the DPP leads people down a 1000-mile dead end road to nowhere. They are not interested in peace for Taiwan, they are only interested power for themselves.

The DPP deserves what it gets after giving away and stealing public lands and funds for 8 years. We are still waiting for an explanation and apology concerning the phony assassination attempt on Chen. Ma is restoring respect for Taiwan in the international community. We were a laughing stock when the DPP was in power. Have you slapped any of your fellow legislators today?

Ms. Tsai needs a shipment of water pistols and rubber bands capable of propelling paper wads at her imagined opposition. What a bunch of perverted children. What a joke. Even their Japanese heroes must be embarrassed by these uncultured adolescents.

Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen of the Democratic Progressive Party thinks too much and overreacts about the new phrase, the "blue terror," and its stance. If people don't commit corruption like the former president Chen Shui-bian, they won't be on trial without a cause. Ms. Tsai, why don't you spare more time to think how to educate your lawmakers and make a comprehensive reform of your party instead?

If President Ma is incompetent, the DPP is much more incompetent. High unemployment rate has not been caused or aggravated by Ma Ying-jeou but by a global economic downturn. The DPP is a big failure itself, indeed. If the DPP is full of competent members, it won't step down from the presidential office.
