TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Yunlin County government said Tuesday it will launch a postcard service, which will allow visitors to write themselves a “message to the future” at its agriculture expo on Jan. 1.
Visitors to the Yunlin Agriculture Expo, which opened last week, will be able to write their own happy story on the postcard and sendit to themselves from a mail box at the expo venue in Huwei Township for delivery in a year's time, the local government said.
In addition, the Yunlin office is providing printed information on agriculture careers and offering consultancy services in an effort to encourage more farming in the southern county.
The agriculture expo, which is aimed at promoting agriculture and restoring residents' confidence in the farming sector, will run through March 6, 2014.
