Twelve films were screened at County Hall Sept. 17, offering a glimpse of the lives and work of locals growing coffee, tomatoes and moth orchids, as well as koi carp and pigs.
The films were shot by six Taiwanese directors who spent half a year interviewing and documenting the farmers in action.
The screenings, which convey a message of simplicity, hard work and change, set the tone for the Yunlin Agriculture Exposition set to kick off Dec. 25, said Yunlin Magistrate Su Chih-fen at the screenings.
