Police save man after suicide attempt inside car in Yunlin

Police saved a man who appeared to have tried to commit suicide by burning charcoal inside his car in Yunlin County on Thursday, local media reported.

The man, surnamed Chang, who is unemployed, left a goodbye note at home asking his relatives to take care of his family, before driving off in his car in the evening.

After receiving the report, police found Chang unconscious inside the vehicle with burning charcoal in Dounan, in the central county, and rushed him to hospital.

Chang, who used to work for a technology company, is in stable condition after receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

Police urged the public to call 1995 to report any possible suicidal cases.
