Taoyuan airport showcases eco-art exhibit

The 2014 Climate Change Painting Exhibition at the Taoyuan International Airport Second Terminal Restricted Access Area International Gate C5 corridor is currently underway until Thursday, Sept. 4, said the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE, 台灣永續能源研究基金會) yesterday.

The TAISE and Asia Pulp and Paper jointly host the exhibition, allowing international travelers to appreciate the eco-art of the participating students.

The exhibition features eco-art selected from the winning entries of the 2014 Climate Change Painting Competition, including 48 junior high school works, 50 elementary school works, for a total of 98 outstanding, diversified art works, according to the TAISE.

This exhibition features the theme of Climate Change in twelve different languages, emphasizing that climate change is not just the responsibility of individuals, organizations and governments, but also our common responsibility as global citizens, so the exhibition hopes to inspire the environmental protection awareness of the global public, said the TAISE.

After the 2014 Climate Change Painting Competition exhibits at the Taoyuan International Airport, the exhibition will move to the Kaohsiung International Airport Restricted Access Area's Ever Rich Cultural Art Gallery from Sunday, September 14 through Sunday, November 30, the TAISE said.
