Giant rubber duck ready for exhibition in Taoyuan
CNATAIPEI -- The inflation of a giant Rubber Duck that amused visitors in Kaohsiung over the past month was completed yesterday in Northern Taiwan's Taoyuan County after being postponed a day earlier due to inclement weather, according to county government officials.

County government workers said the inflation went smoothly as the wind had abated. They spent 45 minutes blowing up the immense floating installation.
Unlike at its earlier display location in Kaohsiung Harbor in Southern Taiwan, the world-famous giant bath toy will be ensconced in the unique pond-dotted landscape of the county's Xinwu Township as part of a landscape festival to be held from Oct. 26 to Nov. 10.
As a result, people can expect a different kind of viewing experience as they will see the duck in the context of coastal bike rides, tourist farms, fresh seafood restaurants and sunsets over the Taiwan Strait, according to Taoyuan's Tourism Promotion Bureau.
The duck itself is also different from the one exhibited in Kaohsiung, although they are the same size and weight.
