Yin will replace incumbent Chairman Kuo Tsai Wen, who was made head of China Engineering Consultants, Inc., which is overseen by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
The company said Friday that Yin's knowledge of aviation regulations and his expertise in aviation sector development should facilitate the ongoing construction of the airport's third runway and third terminal.
A new flight network dubbed the “Northeast Asia Golden Aviation Circle” was completed during Yin's tenure, allowing for direct flights between Taipei International Airport (also known as Songshan Airport) and Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai, Haneda Airport in Tokyo and Gimpo Airport in Seoul.
