Yesterday morning, the visibility of the runway had decreased to 600 feet due to the heavy fog. For the safety of the passengers, TIA enforced the air traffic control measure from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. When the visibility went back up to 900 feet at 11 a.m., the TIA called it off. The 16 affected flights were all delayed for 30 minutes or more. Flights to Taipei were also affected by the fog. Eight direct flights from Shanghai were delayed this morning and almost 1,000 travelers had to stay at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
