Updated Wednesday, November 11, 2009 9:42 am TWN, The China Post news staff Woman steals from duty-free at airportA woman yesterday sabotaged her own overseas trip by stealing a NT$900 perfume from the Duty Free Shop at the Taoyuan International Airport Office. According to aviation police officers, the woman surnamed Lu had booked an early flight on Oct. 6 at the Taoyuan Airport. After checking her baggage and receiving her airline ticket, Lu proceeded to the airport's Duty Free Shop and browsed through the aisles. Right before her flight, Lu reportedly took a NT$900 bottle of perfume and left without paying. She headed towards her gate to board her flight. A Duty Free saleswoman noticed the missing perfume and reported the case to the aviation police. After viewing surveillance camera footage, the police officers were able to identify Lu as the thief and subsequently apprehended her at the gate.
