The Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) is giving out iPhone 7s, roundtrip tickets from Taipei to Barcelona and other grand prizes to recruit citizen journalists.
The fair is looking for writers who are passionate about traveling and who will work with them to promote the annual event.
The International Travel Fair will give the citizen journalists full and free access to the four-day event, which runs Nov. 4 through Nov. 7 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 and 2.
Organizers are giving out grand prizes, including the latest Apple smartphone, free flights and gifts from Hong Kong's Disneyland to authors who produce the best stories.
Those interested in becoming a citizen journalist for this year's International Travel Fair can "like" the Taipei International Travel Fair's Facebook page and leave the comment: "I want to join." To sign up for a chance to win prizes, journalists must also include the URL of their personal blog or other social media, the number of their fans and a three-minute video introducing themselves.
In the video, a contestant should state the reason he or she wants to participate in the event and how he or she stands out from other contestants.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the International Travel Fair, organizers have arranged more than 50 performances from domestic and international arts groups in a bid to provide an exciting experience for fairgoers.
More than 950 delegates from over 60 countries around the world are expected to arrive in the city to celebrate the grand event.
Forums and seminars on travels and travel products are held at the four-day event.
Organizers vet all exhibitors and their products to make sure that only safe and authentic products reach participants.
