TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A bloody knife attack on a Taipei metro train Wednesday afternoon left at least four people dead and 21 injured, with victims sent to area hospitals.

A single suspect, revealed by sources as a university student, was subdued by police and metro staff. Unconfirmed reports indicate the suspect was intoxicated.

The attack took place sometime after 4 p.m. on the Bannan (blue) line, inside a train heading west between Longshan Temple Station in Taipei and Jiangzicui Station in New Taipei.

Police arrived on the scene at around 4:35 p.m. Metro operations reportedly returned to normal by 4:50 p.m., but the train where the attack occurred has been sent to a depot for investigation.

Those video games with violent contents should be restricted. Nowadays children are grown up in the space of violent media and their minds are programmed to these. So troubles must arise some way or the other. I think it’s the government responsibility to control the spread of violent medias to youngsters.

It's definitely not because of the 'violent' media. Watch your school system and you know why.

Don't go blaming video games and TV, millions of people play and watch this material but don't act out these actions. This cretin has a serious problem and the fact he played violent games is a consequence of his problem not one of the causes.

Not just violent video games, but also violent TV shows, dramas, movies, and news reports should all be restricted. Even talk shows that speak of violence should be restricted because it could give people ideas. We should also restrict cooking shows that display images of meat being cut... any of these can influence a psycho into murdering random people...
