Taipei suggests 22 sites to view cherry blossoms
The China Post news staffTAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Taipei City Government recommended 22 locations for best viewing cherry blossoms around the suburbs in Taipei yesterday, and encouraged citizens to visit these pathways in their free time.

Although the weather is still cold, the buds of cherry blossoms are getting ready to burst at the end of January. Every year at this time, viewing the cherry blossoms is one of the most important events for local citizens. There are many pathways in Taipei which are built around cherry blossoms and make it easy for people to enjoy the flowers. Therefore, the Taipei City Government recommended several places to best enjoy the flowers as well as have a good time with friends and family as spring vacation is around the corner.
All the locations are equipped with great facilities that offer easy access to walk and breathe in nature's fresh air. In addition, it is easy to get to these places via the public transportation in Taipei.
There are free maps of the pathways given out by the Taipei City Government. The map can also be downloaded on the website http://hiking.taipei.gov.tw/.
