Shen Chuan-chou, a geology professor at NTU, spent six years developing the technology, which can determine the age of stalactites, the United Evening News said.
Shen's method has a margin of error of only six months, compared to other existing technologies' 200 years, the paper said, adding that the findings have been published in Scientific Reports.
