Police nab 4 Bamboo Union gangsters on extortion charges

Law enforcement officers from the city's Xindian (新店) and Tamsui (淡水) districts conducted raids in several locations around the city on March 8, arresting the gang leader, surnamed Liao (廖), and his three henchmen, surnamed Tseng (曾), Chang (張) and Chou (周), the CIB said in a statement.

The four were sent to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for further investigation over alleged protection racket schemes for several local construction companies, the CIB said.
