TMU Hospital to keep flexible service schedule over holidayThe China Post news staff TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taipei Medical University (TMU) Hospital will keep its regular medical services available for emergency treatment and patients in hospital wards while providing flexible services for outpatients during the Chinese New Year holidays starting today.
February 9, 2013, 12:03 am TWN Senior executives said the hospital will maintain their regular services until noon today. There will be no afternoon or evening sessions, in order to allow hospital staff to attend the traditional New Year's Eve family reunion dinner. Services for outpatients will also be suspended for the whole day tomorrow, the first day of the Year of the Snake on the lunar calendar. Flexible services will resume in the morning session and last until noon on Monday, Feb. 11. Regular outpatient services will be available on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 12, said the administrators; regular medical services will be fully resumed on Wednesday, Feb. 13. They suggested people in need of medical services take advantage of the convenient shuttle bus service lines connecting the hospital and stops like Taipei City Hall, Liuzhangli and Songshan District. A new bus line to the Shenkeng and Shiding districts of New Taipei City will be launched Feb. 14.
