Taipei American School to host 30th annual food fair

Taipei American School will host its 30th annual Parent Teacher Association International Food Fair on its school campus in Tianmu today. Gates will open at 10 a.m. and festivities will last until 3 p.m.

A wonderful selection of foods from around the world and fun games for kids of all ages will be available, as well as a haunted house run by high school students. Perennial crowd favorites like American hot dogs, Pavlova from Down Under, Indian curries and Mexican burritos are sure to go fast. New this year will include homemade sausages from Mr. Sausage at the England booth and waffles at the Canadian booth. Several of Taipei's marquee hotels will also host food booths. Frozen yogurt will be the new healthy choice this year, along with a wide selection of tasty desserts and a candy booth.

More than 25 countries will be represented at the fair, an event that attracted more than 9,000 people last year. Entertainment will include an array of bands, dancers and student performers. A drum ceremony will open the fair. The entry fee is NT$20 per person.
