What a shame seeing the video. We see people coming and going but we don’t see any passerby try to help a hand or call help immediately to avoid serious harms... The other taxi driver standing in front of them sees what’s happening, ignores to help and instead went inside his taxi and ran off too....

What I am disappointed in though is the way the Taiwanese media has covered this case. Makiyo and her BF have been found guilty in a trial-by-media which is really disturbing and not what should be occurring in an advanced country like Taiwan. Taiwan can do better; true justice is not just about the outcome of a case but how the decision was arrived at. Justice must be fair and also be seen to be fair, trial by media is not fair even when the case is obviously an open and shut case.

I'm also a Chinese but a mestizo. Chinese people don't hate the law abiding citizens of Japan or other nationality. 1. Japan's government did NOT build a shrine to war criminals. The Yasukuni Shrine was erected in the 1860s and 1870s and after World War II was privatized.
2. Most Japanese textbooks include information about the atrocities that were committed during World War II and most are knowledgeable and remorseful about it. They do NOT deny their occurrence -- only a few aging, right-wing ultra-nationalists deny it.
3. Neither Hitler nor Mussolini was convicted. Hirohito was not tried because he was not considered to have played a major role in what happened. The leader was Tojo Hideki. There is a long history in Japan of the emperor not being the major political/military power in Japan. Furthermore, Hirohito was regarded as instrumental in pacifying Japan. Executing him would have been disastrous and counter-productive.

Perhaps you should actually sit down, take a valium, and actually read some real history rather than that provided by your Beijing paymasters.
