Taipei to offer bus service for Yangmingshan festival

The office said seven special shuttle buses will be provided to take visitors from downtown Taipei to Yangmingshan, a mountainous suburban area of northern Taipei where cherry trees usually blossom between late February and mid-March, the office said.

The buses include the No. 126 series that was launched last year, the office said. The low chassis buses are equipped with ramps and have extra space inside to accommodate wheelchair users.

The buses will run between Taipei Railway Station and the Yangmingshan Flower Clock, a famous tourist spot on a gentle slope in the mountains.

In addition, the buses on the three regular routes to Yangmingshang will maintain their daily service, the office said.

The Yangmingshan flower festival will run through March 18 at various locations in Yangmingshan National Park, which is known as “the back garden of Taipei.”
