Hsus sue the Apply Daily and ask for NT$100 millionOn Mar.14, the Apply Daily published a news report that Dee Hsu contacted the Taipei City Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault after being hit by her husband. In the afternoon of the same day, the couple held a press conference in front of a Taipei City police station to refute the domestic violence case. Having not obtained a public apology from the Apply Daily for the crafted story, the couple decided to resort to litigation for their damaged reputations and requested the Apple Daily to pay each of them NT$50 million compensation, said Li Yung-jan, Dee Hsu's appointed attorney. A further slander suit may follow and all news stories should be based on evidence, Li added. | |||||||||||||
