Man ties up, gags and rapes a local Japanese girl

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A Japanese girl was tied up and raped by a Taiwanese/ Japanese man in her apartment near Shida Night Market on March 4.

The 22-year-old man allegedly sneaked into the girl's apartment while she was asleep. He tied her arms and legs with adhesive tapes and her mouth with clothing and raped her. The two had studied in the same language course.

The man was arrested on Thursday. The police found on the girl's body and in her apartment hair, semen and saliva samples matching the suspect's DNA as well as his fingerprints.

However, the man denied the crime.
