Most satisfied with Neihu Line

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Three days of free test rides for the public ended yesterday, with most saying they were satisfied with the new line. A total of 63,750 took advantage of the free rides being offered over the three day period, well below the total 130,000 tickets available.

Most passengers said they were satisfied with the sense of space onboard the trains, but some passengers complained that the trains were too small.

The Taipei City government announced that all passengers would enjoy a fifty percent discount on all Taipei Metro services between July 4 and 6 to celebrate the opening of the line. The Neihu line is scheduled to open to the public at 9:00 am on July 4.
