Free health-enhancing `ping shuai' lessons in Taipei

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Lee Feng-san, who has popularized the so-called "ping shuai" practice as a way to achieve health and peace of mind, will be offering a free lesson today in Taipei.

According to Master Lee, "ping shuai" is the result of the collective wisdom of its developers in ancient times and is easy to learn. It is a practice that is suitable for children, adults and the elderly alike. A health-enhancing technique, "ping shuai" has been responsible for curing some of the toughest diseases facing mankind, Lee said.

In fact, the popularity of "ping shuai" surged after the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) epidemic in 2003 that took a devastating toll on Taiwanese society, when dozens died after contracting the disease. It was during this time that Lee began to teach "ping shuai" as a way to prevent the horrifying sickness, and he has continued to do so for the past five years.

Lee's "ping shuai" lesson will be offered today from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the eastern Taipei branch of the Meimen Qigong and Culture Center, B2, No. 261, Dunhua South Road, Section 1. Call 02-2361-7919 for registration.
