Updated Thursday, April 10, 2008 0:00 am TWN, CNA Seminar to be held on Taiwan’s sovereign statusThe seminar will be organized jointly by Taiwan Thinktank and Taiwanese Society of International Law, with participation by several internationally prominent experts in law, including Ando Nisuke, former chairperson of the United Nations Human Rights Committee and Stephen Yates, former adviser to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney on national security affairs. The organizers said the seminar will focus on discussions on Taiwan’s sovereign status from the perspective of international law, history and international politics. Other foreign participants will include Rhee Sang-Myon,a professor at the College of Law at Seoul National University and Asada Masahiko, a law professor at Japan’s Kyoto University.
