Harmony, founded in 2003, is a non-profit organization aimed at helping people living with HIV or AIDS, providing them with shelter, medical assistance, hospice care, counseling, and support and training programs. It is sheltering a total of 26 children suffering from HIV or AIDS, some of whom are orphans, while others have parents in jail. With its donation, CAL became the first company assisting children suffering from the disease in Taiwan. All previous funding for organizations like Harmony came from the government. “We at China Airlines are fully committed to fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities,” said Chao. “We hope this move will generate additional help and support from the public and other corporations.” | Local Breaking News Most Read |
