TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The chairwoman of the Taipei Financial Center Corp. (TFCC), which owns the Taipei

101 skyscraper, has been elected the personality who best represents elite women in Taiwan, according to the results of a survey released yesterday ahead of Women's Day.

Rounding out the list topped by Diana Chen are Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. Chairwoman Nita Ing, Vice President Annette Lu, Yahoo-Kimo Taiwan General Manager Rose Tsou, High Tech Computer Corp. Chairwoman Cher Wang and UFO Radio Chairwoman Chang Hsiao-yen, the survey shows.

The survey was conducted by the online employment broker 104 Job Bank Feb. 25-29 among 3,031 members. It had a margin of error of 1.78 percent.

On the possibility of women assuming top political leadership positions, 62.4 percent of the respondents said they believe a female premier is unlikely to appear in Taiwan in the next four years.
