Body of murder victim found in Dazhi District

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The body of a victim murdered by three students of the evening division of a high school was found by police in the mountains of Taipei’s Dazhi District early yesterday morning.

Police found the location after taking primary suspect Huang Shao-yu to accompany them on the search.

Huang, aided by two others, invited victim Du Cheng-eng to settle a debt dispute arising from their gambling on the outcome of professional baseball games.

They bludgeoned Du to death and then buried his body in Dazhi. Du was a student at a junior college of science and technology.

Huang, 19, was arrested by coast guards on the offshore Kinmen Island when attempting to escape to China.

His two accomplices were also arrested by police.
