Taipei approves four ambulance companies

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Four ambulance companies have been approved by the Taipei municipal bureau of health.

They are Ho Hsing, Jen Kuang, I-Hsin and Lien An, a municipal government spokesman said yesterday. “They have been inspected and certified,” the official said.

To be certified, an ambulance company has to have at least two workers both trained to provide first aid service aboard each vehicle. One of them is the ambulance driver. Moreover, the certified company should collect the fare set by the municipal authorities. The minimum fare per service is NT$2,350.
