South Taiwan rocked by magnitude 4 earthquake

TAIPEI -- A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck southern Taiwan at 8:17 a.m. Monday, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
No injuries were reported.
The quake's epicenter was located at 17.4 kilometers east of the Tainan City Hall at a depth of 23 kilometers, the bureau's data showed.
The quake's intensity, which gauges the actual effect of a temblor, was highest in the city's Xinhua district, where it measured 3 on Taiwan's 7-tiered intensity scale.
