Ex-Tainan County magistrate throws hat in ring for DPP chairSu spoke for an hour behind closed doors with former Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌), who did not step out before cameras after the meeting. The former premier is occupied with reviewing the just-concluded joint elections, said Su Huan-chih to local media. But the older Su expressed happiness that the younger generation cares about the country and for the DPP's future, said Su Huan-chih. The former magistrate said he also intends to meet with DPP Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen, but the date is not yet set. Earlier he paid calls to other DPP heavyweights, such as former Vice President Annette Lu (呂秀蓮), Frank Hsieh (謝長廷), and former Legislator Chai.
