Updated Tuesday, December 15, 2009 11:50 am TWN, The China Post news staff Motorcycle gang terrorizes three drivers in TainanA 24-year-old driver, surnamed Cheng, drove through Cianfong Rd., Tainan City with three friends at 3 a.m., Sunday and stopped in front of a traffic light. Suddenly, Cheng found that more than ten bikes across the lane rode toward them. As the bikes approached, the first leading vehicle dropped on Cheng's seat a signal rocket, which exploded in the car. Cheng had to pull over the smoky car. Armed with baseball bat and iron pipe, the gang got off from their bike and rushed to Cheng's vehicle. Cheng was dragged out of the car and was punched harshly in the head and hands by the gangsters. The suspects also smashed the windshield and rear window. The couples in the back seat were was scared and crouched. After the group driving away, the police came and send the bleeding victim to the hospital. Cheng was in stable condition after going through medical treatment. The victim said that he did not recognize the group nor did he provoke them, according to the report. Ten minutes later, when police were still handling Cheng's case, two other vehicles were hit nearby Cianfong road within 500 meters. A female driver, surnamed Chou whose car was struck on the right and rear window, was apparently attacked by the same suspects. She called the police instantly while stepping on the gas to escape.
