As reported, he started using the electronic toll collection lane and managed to escape paying the fee of NT$40 every time he used it since last year till this September. The arrears and fines piled up to NT$2 million, said TVBS. He was captured near the Sinying Toll Station, near Tainan, on a National Freeway. Chen traveled frequently between Taipei and Tainan, where his parents lived. Chen claimed that the tolls accumulated from his trips were unaffordable, said the report. Chen served at a police station under Zhongshan Police District before being caught. He was recorded a demerit point and reassigned to another post.
