Updated Saturday, July 24, 2010 0:10 am TWN, CNA Taichung delegation signs agriculture deal in MalaysiaAddressing the signing ceremony, Taichung Mayor Jason Hu said that he was pleased with the resultsof marketingTaichung agricultural specialties in Malaysia and that he will attend food trade fairs there in the future. The Malaysian side agreed to buy Taichung products such as orange cookies, dried fruit and vegetable chips, honey, rice cookies and instant cereal. Total imports are expected to reach 12 shipping containers by the end of this year. The Taiwan pavilion at the 2010 Malaysia International Food and Beverages Trade Fair won the Most Creative Pavilion Award the previous day. The 168-person delegation from Taichung is the largest group to take part in the trade fair, which opened Thursday and will run until the weekend.
