Drug dealers caught by police after 15 shots

TAICHUNG, Taiwan -- After firing 15 bullets, the police caught a suspected couple of drug dealers in the act, the authorities said yesterday.

According to officers from the Taichung County Police Bureau Dajia Precinct, a 32-year-old male suspect, surnamed Liu, drove a rented sedan to Zhongxiao Road (忠孝街) with his girlfriend, surnamed Fu, 27, to buy guns and make a drug deal.

The suspects tried to run away after they found the police car approaching by bumping into the police car at first, which caused the police to fire two shots to the air. Failing to stop the pair, the police then fired 13 bullets at the wheels of the suspects?car and arrested them successfully, the police said.

Two modified 92 and 93 guns, two bullets, handcuffs, 20 packs of Amphetamine and Heroin, and a radio used to track the police were found in the car, said a police official.
