Bakery master donates an ambulance to honor mom

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taiwan's celebrity baker Wu Pao-chun (吳寶春) yesterday donated an ambulance to the Longquan Village Fire Squad of Neipu Township in Pingtung County.

The famous baker donated the ambulance and various pieces of medical equipment to his hometown fire squad through the Chen Mo-hsien Educational Foundation (陳無嫌教育基金會).

The foundation was set up in memory of Wu's late mother Chen Mo-hsien (陳無嫌). The equipment donated by Wu has been reportedly calculated to be worth around NT$ 3 million.

Wu was represented by this third older brother Wu Pao-ming (吳寶明) as the baker was unable to attend the official presentation while currently pursing an EMBA degree in Singapore. Wu Pao-chun wishes to bring peace and safety to his hometown, with the love that he had given to his late mother, Wu Pao-ming said during the event.

The donation event was witnessed by Democratic Progressive Party Legislator Pan Men-an (潘孟安), with Pingtung County Fire Chief Chen Chun-hung (陳俊宏) accepting the donation on behalf of the county.
