Pingtung to launch public bike system in September

TAIPEI--Pingtung County is set to join the rising number of local governments across Taiwan offering a public bicycle rental system to residents with the launch of the Pbike in September.

The government of the southernmost county said Friday its public bicycle system will be set up in Pingtung City, the county seat, and offer 450 bicycles for rent from automated kiosks at highly trafficked locations like hospitals, schools, parks, and transportation hubs.
