KINMEN--Starbucks opened its first store in Kinmen Saturday, establishig the only presence on Taiwan's outlying islands.

The Kinmen store, located in Wind Lion Plaza adjacent to Kinmen Airport, is the 317th outlet of the American coffeehouse chain in Taiwan.

Three students from National Quemoy University were among the first customers to enter the new Starbucks and they bought coffee and donuts.
