Two arrested for drunken beating of honking driver

PENGHU, Taiwan -- Two men were arrested for the drunken beating of a driver who honked his horn at them on the road on Wednesday in Penghu, according to the Now News Web Site.

According to police, both suspects were teenagers and agreed to have a drink together on Wednesday evening. After becoming intoxicated by the alcohol, they walked together on the road. A driver who drove a silver car was blocked by the two and honked his horn several times at them. The teenagers became angry and dragged the driver out of the vehicle and punched him harshly.

The police said that the driver did not engage the handbrake before being dragged out the car. The car then rammed onto an iron gate of a house.

After the three took alcohol breathalyzer tests, the police found that the beaten driver was also drunk and gave him a ticket for drunken driving.
