Thief falls in love with victim after robbing her

MIAOLI, Taiwan -- Miaoli police authorities recently found an unexpected twist in a suspected thief who fell in love with his victim after mugging her of NT$56, local media reported yesterday.

On Thursday evening, the thief stabbed a nurse and took her wallet, but felt remorse upon finding the woman attractive, the TVBS report said.

After accompanying her to the hospital to seek medical attention for the wound, the man went back to the site of the robbery, where he left a love note on her scooter detailing his regret as well as affection, noting that “her voice had brought him back from hell,” added the report. According to the media outlet, the robber waited for the nurse, who returned with police officers. The love-struck burglar did not seem to mind when officers apprehended him, police were cited as saying.
