First tourist hotel to open in Miaoli

MIAOLI, Taiwan -- Chinatrust Hotel Chunan, the first international tourist hotel in Miaoli County, northern Taiwan is ready to become operational, as it has obtained an operating license from the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, tourism officials said yesterday. The officials said that Chinatrust Hotel Chunan is located at No. 106, Kong Yuan Rd., Chunan Township, Miaoli County, adjacent to a 15,000-ping sports park (one ping=36 square feet).

The hotel features baroque-style garden castle architecture, with 107 guest rooms, restaurant, banquet hall, conference rooms, coffee shop and gymnasium, etc.
